More Than Three Decades of Leading People and Making a Difference

Juanita understands the daily demands of leadership: making difficult decisions, navigating change, supporting employees, and delivering results.

Her career spans more than 30 years in public safety and social services, including more than 25 years in formal leadership roles. As Division Manager for Inmate Administrative Services at the Orange County Corrections Department, she leads approximately 178 employees and manages a budget exceeding $15 million.

That experience shapes the guidance she offers. From developing future leaders and planning for succession to improving processes, policies, and performance, Juanita understands how individual decisions affect an entire organization.

She brings that perspective to helping leaders set clear expectations, address challenges with sound judgment, and build teams where people can grow and contribute.

Juanita’s commitment to developing others is matched by her commitment to continued learning. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Business Administration, along with the Certified Public Manager, Certified Executive Coach, and Certified Pretrial Services Professional credentials.

She is also a graduate of the Mayor’s Executive Leadership Program, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Senior Leadership Program, and the Executive Leadership Seminar.

Her career honors include the Award for Excellence and the Chief’s Award, reflecting her dedication to service and professional excellence.
